Welcome to West Indies Home Contractors (WIHCON) website.  WIHCON is synonymous with home building in Jamaica and was the first to construct a housing development in the island with the introduction of the 630 houses, Mona Heights development in 1958.  The company introduced a proprietary building system which has been used to construct nearly 40,000 homes in Jamaica. 

WIHCON is the first to build 10,000 houses in a single housing development in the Caribbean.  Today, 50 years later we continue to make our mark in the building and construction industry. 
In addition to homes we have used our expertise to build a total of 59 schools or facilities in existing schools and recently completed 17 schools in Western Jamaica designed with curriculum planners of the Jamaican Ministry of Education.

The company has a proven track record in civil works with several road development and rehabilitation projects across the island.
In addition WIHCON has recently branched out as a contractor and has completed Hellshire Glades for the Urban Development Corporation, and is currently working on Bernard Lodge Housing Development for the National Housing Trust, and Ironshore Village for a private developer.
The dedicated WIHCON team is lead by our Managing Director, Delroy Alcott who adds his vast experience to the wealth of knowledge  that the company has gained over the years in the construction industry.
