The WIHCON proprietary precast building system has been implemented successfully over the years to build a total of 56 new schools or additions to pre-existing schools in Jamaica. The last major school project consisted of 17 schools built in Western Jamaica for the Ministry of Education. The schools were designed in conjunction with the Ministry of Education’s planning unit and architect Patrick Stanigar working as a consultant with WIHCON. The results are schools that meet the requirements of the curriculum in a solid, esthetically pleasing learning environment.
