Mr Peter Melhado, Chairman of West Indies Home Contractors (WIHCON) and Mr Robert Taylor, Director of Alf Investments are pleased to announce the signing of a joint venture agreement that will see the two parties partnering to build housing solutions in the Kingston, Spanish Town and Montego Bay areas. The vehicle for this venture will be WIHCON, a well-known builder of homes and large infrastructure projects in Jamaica and the wider Caribbean. As part of the transaction, the joint venture will acquire substantial tracts of prime lands, including shovel-ready projects such as Graham Heights in St Andrew.
Commenting on the joint venture, Peter Melhado noted: "the combination of two experienced developers with an extensive land bank in fantastic locations creates an exciting future for us. This venture will allow us to continue our foray into higher-end solutions, similar to our current Mona project, as well as deepen the company's offering in our bread-and-butter segment of affordable homes.” Robert Taylor stated: "partnering with the leading provider of housing solutions is a unique opportunity for our group and allows participation across the full spectrum of the industry.
