Project Manager: Estimating – WIHCON

Job Title: Project Manager – Estimating, Project Planning Division

Reports To: General Manager, Project Planning

Key Responsibilities:
•      Manages the Preparation of Tenders
•      Prepares Project Development Budgets
•      Prepare Project Proposals [to facilitate Joint Venture Agreements and Partnerships]
•      Reviews and Approves all Cost Estimates/BQs/Take-Offs prepared by the Estimating Team
•      Maintains Costing Database
•      Assist in undertaking Site Suitability Assessments for Prospective Projects

Academic & Professional Qualifications:

  • B.Sc. in Quantity Surveying or other related field
  • A minimum of 6 years’ experience in construction estimating
  • Project Management Training/Experience
  • Core Competence:

–   Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and commercial estimating software such as: Timberline/SageCRE and Cost X.

–   Knowledge of industry practices and procedures.

–   Ability to Multi-Task
